Care and Maintenance of Goods

We select the highest quality materials for the production of UNCS clothing. Each of our products is unique and requires a specific form of treatment with regard to the material from which it is made.

Rights from defective performance do not belong to the buyer in the event that:

A change in the appearance or functionality and the normal life of the product due to its use and thus natural wear and tear.
A change in the appearance or functionality and normal life of the product as a result of its incorrect or inappropriate way or environment of use and thus damage or premature wear.
A change in the appearance or functionality and the normal lifespan of the product as a result of improper handling of the product, or interference with the products by possible repairs carried out outside the complaint procedure.
A change in the appearance or functionality and the normal life of the product due to incorrect or inappropriate maintenance and treatment of the product, or its complete or partial absence.
A change in the scope and nature of a possible manufacturing defect due to the delay in applying for its claim

Product maintenance

When purchasing a product, it is necessary to pay attention to the basic maintenance conditions specified by the manufacturer. These are represented by graphic symbols on the label or tag of each product.

General and supplementary maintenance policies

Always wash light and colored shades of products separately, preferably sorted into same-colored products.
Do not soak colored products and products in a combination of colors before washing and do not dry in direct sunlight.
Use detergents that match the nature of the product (as determined by the detergent manufacturer).
For colored products and products in a combination of colors, use only detergents intended for colored products (colour).
When dosing the detergent, strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions.
When washing by hand, it is advisable to use liquid detergents.
To wash textile products, do not use agents that are not intended for washing textiles, e.g. hair shampoos.
Products in a combination of contrasting colors must be perfectly drained after both manual and mechanical washing, so that the drying time is not prolonged and the colors do not "blend" into each other when wet.
Products with local printing must always be washed and ironed on the wrong side.
If the manufacturer does not specify otherwise, we recommend washing and ironing the products inside out.
We recommend leaving the removal of local intensive stains and soiling to professionals (dry cleaners).
Products after extreme perspiration must be lightly washed or rinsed immediately to protect the textile from the negative effects of aggressive sweat (local stains).
If deodorants are used, do not apply these to the product, but only to the body. They can negatively affect the stability of the coloring.
When ironing products containing "elastane" fiber, always pay attention to the use of lower ironing temperatures ("iron with one dot" symbol).
If fabric softeners are used, the product must only be rinsed in the bath - do not leave it in the bath for a long time without moving it.
After wringing cotton clothing (T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.), the product needs to be molded into its original shape when wet and left to dry.

Basic rules for the specific treatment of individual types of textile products

Products made of real silk, products made of delicate materials (care symbol gentle or very gentle wash, hand wash)

Use non-aggressive gentle detergents intended for washing delicate materials and silk.
Wash or at least rinse silk products after sweating to remove aggressive sweat from the product, which can affect the coloring.
Iron products made of real silk while damp at the temperature indicated by the symbol.
After hand washing, do not wring the products by twisting them to avoid damaging the delicate fabric or seams of the product.
Dry the products on the reverse side, do not expose them to direct sunlight.

Swimming shorts

A prolonged stay in the sun, in salt or chlorinated water may cause color instability. We recommend rinsing them in clean water after each use.

Sweaters with wool, viscose, cotton, silk and other mixed materials

Use the wool program when washing in the washing machine.

Use gentle detergents designed for wool (even if it is a product made of synthetic materials, e.g. acrylic, polyester, polyamide), for both hand washing and machine washing.
When rinsing, gradually reduce the temperature of the bath to avoid precipitation or deformation, especially for woolen products.
After washing, drain the products if the symbol - wool program specifies, spin them slightly, or drain them unfolded in a towel, never drain by hand wringing - twisting.
After draining, shape the products and dry them preferably in a horizontal position. When drying, do not hang the products on a line, secure them with pegs or in any other inappropriate way.
If the manufacturer recommends ironing, it is especially advisable to iron products containing wool after drying.

Denim products

Denim products have a characteristic appearance and properties that are determined by the material, coloring, cut and specific decoration (grafts, rivets, buttons, patches, zippers, etc.).
A varying degree of 'scraped', 'worn' appearance is desired for some denim products. The products are sold with a pre-wash treatment, during which the desired fashion effect occurs, including disruption of the fabric surface. For denim products, especially for products of darker color shades without pre-washing, it is necessary to expect a lower color fastness, especially before the first wash.
A new denim product may bleed.
Do not soak denim products and wash them separately.
Use detergents for washing colored textiles, any bleaching additives are not recommended.
Before washing, turn the product inside out, close the buttons and zips.
After washing, rinse repeatedly to completely remove the detergent and prevent the formation of maps and stains.
For denim products with elastane content, always use a lower ironing temperature ("iron with one dot" symbol).

Decorative stones - strass

Decorative motifs and stones (strass) add uniqueness to the product, to preserve them we recommend washing and ironing inside out and handling them with care.
Decorative motifs and rhinestones (strass) applied to the product may loosen during repeated mechanical stress.
This fact cannot be considered a defect.

Hair products - cord, velvet, fleece

Wash separately on the wrong side.
Iron only on the wrong side if ironing is specified by the symbol.
During wear, occasionally brush with a damp, clean brush to remove foreign and other-colored fibers transferred to the surface from the clothes worn at the same time or from the air (environment).
After washing, rinse the products sufficiently.

Products with feather and other fillings

During maintenance, strictly follow the procedure indicated by the care symbols (do not wring, spin).
During drying, repeatedly "shake" the filling to ensure its even distribution after drying.
Dry in a horizontal position.
Do not dry the product for a long time in a humid environment.
If these principles are followed, there will be no uneven distribution of the filling (fluff).

Products with inner hair

These products may shed inner hair, this is a normal feature of this product.

Sports bags and backpacks

If necessary, wash the products with a foam sponge soaked in soapy water at a temperature of max. 30°C.
Then wash the product with a sponge soaked in clean water. Do not wash in the washing machine!
As a rule, do not use organic solvents or other chemicals and cleaning agents containing abrasive particles for cleaning.
Do not overload the products.

Leather products

We recommend cleaning leather products in special leather cleaners.

Products of darker colors and shades

Wash inside out.
Use liquid detergents intended for dark clothes (colour).
After washing in the washing machine, especially with its maximum load, rinse the products properly repeatedly in order to completely remove the residues of detergents that can leave bright maps or stains.
Improper washing or the use of unsuitable detergents can have a negative effect on the coloring of the product and cause the appearance of light maps and stains.

Products for which the washing symbol with a single or double underline is specified

"underlined bath once" - This symbol indicates limited mechanical action at the prescribed temperature of the bath: rinsing, gradual cooling, gentle centrifugation.
"double-underlined tub" - This symbol specifies that at the prescribed temperature of the bath, mechanical action is greatly limited: rinsing, gradual cooling, the product must not be squeezed by hand - by twisting.

Explanation of some labor symbols

Each symbol with a number indicates the highest recommended water temperature.

Washing
